Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain accurate financial records. The role involves managing financial statements, taxation, reconciliations, and supporting management with financial insights.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, ledger postings, and financial documentation.
- Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and other financial reports on a monthly and annual basis.
- Maintain and review the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial accuracy.
- Handle GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GST returns and reconciliation of GST data.
- Manage taxation matters, including preparation and filing of relevant tax returns and coordination with tax consultants.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare MIS and financial analysis reports for management decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain proper financial records, documentation, and compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and cost monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Job requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com); professional certifications such as CA Inter / CMA Inter will be an advantage.
- Experience: 8–11 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail, trading, or jewellery-related businesses.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, accounting standards, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience in preparing Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Practical experience in GST compliance, GST return filing, reconciliation, and handling tax-related documentation.
- Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger management, and maintaining financial records.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally or other ERP systems.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including financial data analysis and reporting.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
