We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The Senior Technician will also mentor junior technicians and support the Service Advisor in delivering efficient service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Perform repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer standards.
- Conduct inspections and identify additional repair or maintenance requirements.
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing technical support when required.
- Maintain accurate repair records and complete job cards.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and company policies.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to the Service Advisor.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma, ITI, or equivalent qualification in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and software.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- OEM dealership experience is an advantage.
