A TGT Biology Teacher is responsible for teaching Biology and General Science to middle and secondary school students (generally Classes VI–X). The teacher develops students’ conceptual understanding, scientific thinking, practical skills, and interest in life sciences through effective classroom teaching, laboratory activities, and student-centered learning methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Biology lessons according to State Board curriculum.
- Teach topics related to life processes, human biology, environment, genetics, and diversity in living organisms.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and practical activities safely and effectively.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessment materials.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, presentations, and practical exams.
- Maintain attendance records, progress reports, and academic documentation.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, observation skills, and critical thinking among students.
- Use smart boards, digital tools, models, and interactive teaching techniques to enhance learning.
- Provide remedial support for weak learners and enrichment activities for advanced students.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress and behavior.
- Participate in school activities, science exhibitions, workshops, Olympiads, and staff meetings.
- Stay updated with developments in Biology and modern teaching methodologies.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
