Videographer + Video Editor

About the Role
We are looking for a talented Videographer + Video Editor to become part of our in-house content team.
You will be responsible for shooting and editing content for Lakhotia College of Design (LCOD)'s Content Ecosystem.
We are looking for someone who understands modern digital video—not just someone who can operate a camera.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoot high-quality Reels, interviews, podcasts, testimonials and YouTube videos
- Capture campus life, student work, events and behind-the-scenes content
- Shoot founder/personal-brand content
- Handle basic lighting, framing, composition and audio
- Set up and operate podcast/interview shoots
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and long-form YouTube videos
- Edit podcast episodes and create short clips from long-form conversations
- Add subtitles, transitions, sound design and basic motion graphics
- Perform basic colour correction and audio cleanup
- Create engaging edits suited to current social-media formats
- Organise and maintain video footage and project files
- Work closely with the Content Strategist to execute the weekly content plan
- Occasionally capture basic photography for social media
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of video shooting and editing
- Excellent understanding of short-form video and Reels
- Good sense of framing, composition and storytelling
- Knowledge of lighting and audio
- Ability to independently manage a shoot from setup to final edit
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks and retention
- Ability to create modern, premium and engaging social-media content
Software:
Strong proficiency in at least one of:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro
Knowledge of After Effects is an advantage.
Experience with CapCut is a plus, but professional editing skills are more important than the software used.

- Has a strong visual eye
- Understands Gen Z content
- Follows fashion, design, lifestyle and digital culture
- Can shoot both polished and spontaneous content
- Is comfortable working with founders, students, designers and industry professionals
- Can work independently and move quickly
- Has a portfolio showing actual video work
Important
This is not only an editing job.
The candidate should be capable of shooting + directing basic content + editing it into finished social-media assets.
