Job Title: Executive – NVOCC (Dead Freight)

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Executive – NVOCC (Dead Freight) to manage dead freight cases, optimize container utilization, coordinate with shipping lines and customers, and minimize revenue loss arising from booking cancellations, no-shows, and short-shipped cargo.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage Dead Freight bookings to minimize financial losses.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customers, CHAs, and overseas agents regarding booking amendments and cancellations.
- Track booking confirmations, vessel schedules, and cargo readiness.
- Follow up with customers to ensure timely cargo delivery against confirmed bookings.
- Identify booking cancellations, short shipments, and no-show containers, and initiate recovery actions.
- Coordinate with internal sales and operations teams to optimize slot utilization.
- Prepare and maintain Dead Freight reports, booking utilization reports, and operational MIS.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to bookings, cancellations, and freight recovery.
- Ensure compliance with shipping line policies and Dead Freight procedures.
- Resolve operational issues while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of NVOCC and freight forwarding operations.
- Knowledge of Dead Freight management and container booking processes.
- Familiarity with export/import shipping documentation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of vessel schedules and booking management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple customer bookings simultaneously.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in NVOCC, freight forwarding, shipping operations, or Dead Freight management.
- Experience coordinating with shipping lines, customers, and overseas agents is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping portals and logistics software will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience handling Dead Freight, booking management, vessel planning, or export/import operations.
- Good understanding of shipping line documentation and booking procedures.
- Strong coordination skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
