The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project or operational costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability. This role involves preparing budgets, tracking expenditures, analyzing cost variances, and providing financial reports to support management decision-making. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and maintain project and operational budgets. Track actual costs against budgets and forecast future expenditures. Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports for management. Review purchase orders, invoices, and contracts to ensure compliance with approved budgets. Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to control project costs. Monitor labor, material, and equipment costs. Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost control processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations. Maintain accurate cost records and documentation. Assist in preparing financial forecasts and cash flow projections. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or ACCA are an advantage. 3–5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, or financial analysis (industry-specific experience preferred). Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
