The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and maintaining smooth workflow during operations. The role includes handling guest concerns, training team members, and ensuring service standards are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate restaurant floor operations during shifts
* Ensure guests receive prompt and professional service
* Brief service staff before shifts regarding reservations, VIP guests, and special promotions
* Assign tables and responsibilities to stewards and servers
* Handle guest complaints politely and resolve issues efficiently
* Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and grooming standards of the team
* Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth food service and special requests
* Monitor table setup, buffet setup, and restaurant ambiance
* Upsell menu items, beverages, and promotions to increase revenue
* Ensure billing accuracy and assist in cash handling when required
* Train new employees on service standards and SOPs
* Maintain inventory of restaurant supplies and report shortages
* Ensure compliance with company policies and food safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Knowledge of food & beverage service standards
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Problem-solving and guest-handling skills
* Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing
Educational Qualification
* Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,500.00 per month
