About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Repair Engineer to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptops of various brands. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in hardware-level repairs and a good understanding of laptop components and operating systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot laptop hardware and software issues.
- Perform chip-level and motherboard-level repairs.
- Repair or replace laptop components such as screens, keyboards, batteries, RAM, SSD/HDD, charging ports, hinges, speakers, and cooling systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and drivers.
- Perform BIOS updates, data backup, and data recovery (where applicable).
- Conduct quality checks after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain service records and update repair status.
- Coordinate with the inventory team for spare parts requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow company SOPs and safety guidelines during repair processes.
- Provide technical support to customers when required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of laptop hardware and motherboard troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in chip-level and component-level repairs.
- Good understanding of Windows installation, formatting, and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and soldering/rework equipment.
- Knowledge of laptops from brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Apple, MSI, and others.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- 6 months–5 years of experience in laptop repair and troubleshooting.
