Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Manage deployment workflows across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Implement automated testing, artifact management, and release processes.
- Ensure smooth and reliable software delivery through continuous integration and deployment practices.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
- Handle day-to-day cloud operations such as performance tuning, scalability, backups, patching, and cost optimization.
- Design and maintain highly available, resilient, and scalable infrastructure architectures.
- Support infrastructure planning and environment optimization initiatives.
Containers & Orchestration
- Build, manage, and optimize Docker-based environments.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS / GKE / self-hosted).
- Manage Helm charts, ingress controllers, and container orchestration workflows.
- Exposure to service mesh technologies is an added advantage.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripting.
- Ensure infrastructure consistency through version-controlled and reproducible deployment practices.
Monitoring, Logging & Observability
- Configure and maintain monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack, etc.
- Build dashboards, alerts, and reporting systems for infrastructure and application health monitoring.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and provide performance improvement recommendations.
Security & Compliance
- Implement best practices for IAM, secrets management, and infrastructure security.
- Ensure secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud operations aligned with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with InfoSec teams for audits, compliance checks, and security assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer.
- Strong experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Good hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation / Pulumi).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system administration fundamentals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across infrastructure, deployments, and production environments.
- Experience in infrastructure designing, architecture planning, scalability, and environment optimization.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident management practices.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to hybrid cloud or on-premises infrastructure environments.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Understanding of cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
- Experience working with distributed systems or microservices architectures.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security automation.
