Windows Server SME
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 8+ years of expertise in enterprise Windows Server administration, Microsoft Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure, and Windows vulnerability remediation. The role involves managing, securing, and maintaining Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms, performing patch management, security hardening, automation, and production support while ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, PowerShell, SCCM/WSUS, Qualys, Azure/AWS services, and enterprise change management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) across on-premises and Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and harden Windows Servers in accordance with organizational security and compliance standards.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, IIS, File & Print Services, and Windows Failover Clustering.
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Machines or AWS EC2, storage, networking, load balancers, and identity services.
- Perform vulnerability assessment, remediation, and security patch management using Qualys, Microsoft Defender, or equivalent vulnerability management tools.
- Implement Windows security hardening based on CIS Benchmarks, Microsoft Security Baselines, and organizational security policies.
- Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, SCCM, WSUS, Azure Automation, Ansible, or Terraform to streamline server administration.
- Monitor Windows infrastructure using SCOM, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar monitoring tools to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating system, Active Directory, networking, storage, IIS, and application-related issues by performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive solutions.
- Manage user accounts, access controls, Group Policies, certificates, file systems, storage, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
- Validate remediation activities through vulnerability rescans and maintain technical documentation for audit, compliance, and operational readiness.
- Execute infrastructure changes, maintenance activities, server migrations, and production deployments following ITIL-based change management processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and operations teams to support production environments and resolve critical incidents.
- Participate in on-call production support, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities while ensuring SLA compliance.
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
