Job Title: Structural BIM Engineer (Wood/Timber – US Projects)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Structural BIM Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in US-based wood/timber projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modeling and detailing structural systems using Revit, along with proficiency in timber-specific add-ins. This role involves working closely with structural engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality BIM models and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for wood/timber structures using Revit.
Prepare structural framing plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings for US projects.
Work on light-frame wood, mass timber (CLT/GLT), and panelized construction systems.
Utilize Revit add-ins for timber modeling, such as AGACAD or similar tools.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, MEP, and structural).
Ensure models comply with US building codes, standards, and client requirements.
Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using BIM tools.
Generate shop drawings and construction documentation with high accuracy.
Maintain model quality, standards, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
Support project teams in BIM execution planning and workflows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in structural BIM modeling.
Experience working on US-based wood/timber projects is mandatory.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structural).
Experience with timber/wood modeling add-ins (e.g., AGACAD Wood Framing or equivalent).
Good understanding of US construction standards and detailing practices.
Knowledge of structural systems including light wood framing and mass timber.
Familiarity with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in modeling and documentation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with AutoCAD and other BIM tools.
Exposure to parametric modeling or Dynamo.
Knowledge of prefabrication and modular construction workflows.
Familiarity with LOD standards and BIM execution plans (BEP).
