Merchandising Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Merchandising Assistant to support the merchandising team in planning, developing, and executing product strategies. The successful candidate will assist with inventory management, sales analysis, product coordination, and administrative tasks to ensure the right products are available at the right time and place.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the merchandising team with product planning and assortment management.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment activities.
- Prepare and maintain product information, pricing, and promotional data.
- Analyze sales performance and generate regular reports to support decision-making.
- Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and internal departments to ensure timely product delivery.
- Support the execution of promotional campaigns and seasonal product launches.
- Maintain accurate merchandising records, databases, and documentation.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Assist in visual merchandising activities and ensure product displays meet company standards.
- Resolve product-related issues and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or administrative support is preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems is an advantage.
