The PGT Physics & Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching Physics and Mathematics to Classes XI and XII as per the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and academic excellence while preparing students for Board and competitive examinations. The teacher is expected to create an engaging learning environment, integrate technology into teaching, and contribute to the overall academic development of students.
Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities
- Teach Physics and Mathematics to Classes XI & XII in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and instructional materials.
- Deliver effective classroom instruction using modern and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Conduct regular assessments, examinations, and evaluations.
- Prepare students for Board Examinations, JEE, NEET, Olympiads, and other competitive examinations.
- Provide remedial support and enrichment activities for students as required.
- Monitor student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
Laboratory & Practical Work
- Conduct Physics practical sessions and demonstrations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of laboratory equipment and resources.
- Maintain practical records, inventories, and laboratory documentation.
Student Development
- Mentor and guide students in academic and personal growth.
- Identify learning gaps and implement strategies for improvement.
- Encourage participation in academic competitions, exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance registers, assessment records, and other academic documentation.
- Prepare question papers, report cards, and examination-related documents.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and communicate student progress effectively.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, training programs, and school events.
- Support school policies and contribute to institutional development initiatives.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. Physics / Mathematics or relevant Postgraduate Degree from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in Classes XI & XII (preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics and Mathematics.
- Proficiency in English communication and classroom management.
- Working knowledge of computers, MS Office, Smart Boards, and digital learning platforms.
