This role requires guiding and supporting teams throughout the design and delivery phases, ensuring that development standards are maintained. The position focuses on aligning software performance and scalability with the broader business goals, fostering collaboration among team members, and driving the successful completion of projects through effective leadership and strategic planning.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of development best practices and coding standards to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to align project objectives and resolve challenges.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in AS/400 COBOL 400 (Programming Language).
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Experience in managing and leading software development teams through complex project lifecycles.
- Ability to analyze and optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with debugging, testing, and quality assurance processes within software engineering.
- Competence in collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
