How You Will Do It
1. Technical Interface & Application Development
- Serve as the gatekeeper for all R&D and technical exchanges between customers and BASF.
- Develop appropriate solutions in lab and present technical proposals, new concepts, and application ideas tailored to customer needs.
- Support implementation of these solutions at customer sites through trials, formulation guidance, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical consulting, training, and hands-on support to customers.
2. Technical Service Strategy & Innovation
- Develop and execute proactive technical service strategies that enhance long-term customer loyalty.
- Identify customer-driven innovation opportunities and emerging application fields specific to Personal Care.
- Lead joint development projects with customers, ensuring strong project management and full accountability for deliverables.
- Manage and mitigate product and process risks, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
3. Technical Key Account Management & Stakeholder Influence
- Influence key decision-makers within customer organizations and internally within BASF—even without direct authority—to drive technical and commercial progress.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic, long-term relationships with key accounts across R&D, procurement, marketing, operations, and leadership.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of Personal Care formulations, applications, and market value chains to anticipate trends and guide customer development efforts.
- Act as the liaison between customer teams and internal BASF functions to ensure smooth communication and high customer satisfaction.
4. Capability Building
- Enhance the technical capability of the sales team and distributor teams through structured trainings, coaching, and joint customer visits.
- Promote strong cross-functional understanding of product performance and application behavior
5. EHS & Compliance
- Follow and promote BASF’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices during all technical service activities.
Ensure all technical recommendations meet regulatory and safety guidelines relevant to Personal Care products

What We Look For
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related discipline
- Experience in technical service, formulation development, or application support in Personal Care- 8 to 12 years
- Strong understanding of Surfactants, UV filters, Bio actives, Emollients and other Personal Care ingredients
- Hands-on experience with lab formulations and customer trials
Strong communication, influencing skills, and project management capabilities
