Job Summary
Jamna Auto Industries Ltd. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PPC Engineer to support Production Planning and Control activities. The candidate will be responsible for production scheduling, material planning, inventory coordination, data analysis, and ensuring on-time delivery of products while maintaining optimum utilization of resources.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and business priorities.
- Coordinate with production departments to ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Monitor production progress and update planning status regularly.
- Identify production constraints and coordinate corrective actions to meet delivery commitments.
Production Control
- Track production performance against planned targets.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure smooth production flow.
- Analyze production variances and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize delays and improve productivity.
Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, and Production teams for material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight shortages that may impact production.
- Support material requirement planning and inventory optimization activities.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare production reports, planning dashboards, and management MIS reports.
- Maintain accurate planning records and production data.
- Analyze production trends, capacity utilization, and delivery performance.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports using Excel and ERP systems.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Purchase departments.
- Support customer delivery planning and schedule adherence.
- Participate in review meetings and provide planning-related updates.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in planning and scheduling activities.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to reducing inventory levels and improving on-time delivery performance.
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Advanced Excel preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and production planning data.
- Understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management concepts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Exposure to ERP systems will be an added advantage.
