Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Jewellery CAD Designer with a strong background in the export jewellery industry. The ideal candidate should have expertise in creating production-ready CAD models for international markets such as the USA, Europe, and the Middle East. The candidate must possess excellent knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes, stone settings, and international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate and production-ready 3D CAD models for rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces, and bangles.
- Convert sketches, reference images, and design concepts into manufacturable CAD models.
- Ensure proper metal weight, stone placement, wall thickness, and structural strength.
- Develop designs suitable for export markets while maintaining international quality standards.
- Modify CAD files based on client feedback and production requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the Design, CAM, Production, QC, and Merchandising teams.
- Prepare files for 3D printing, casting, and manufacturing.
- Maintain organized CAD libraries and technical documentation.
- Deliver projects within deadlines while ensuring high accuracy and quality.
- Stay updated with global jewellery design trends and manufacturing techniques.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, Matrix, JewelCAD, or 3Design.
- Excellent knowledge of diamond and gemstone settings (Prong, Pave, Bezel, Channel, Micro Setting).
- Strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing, casting, polishing, and finishing processes.
- Experience creating lightweight, production-friendly CAD models.
- Knowledge of export market preferences and international jewellery trends.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with jewellery export companies in SEEPZ or similar manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with USA, Europe, and Middle East jewellery markets.
- Knowledge of rendering software such as KeyShot or V-Ray is an added advantage.
