Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Manager to oversee the human resources functions of our creative and production studio. The HR Manager will be responsible for talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, policy development, payroll coordination, and ensuring a positive workplace culture that reflects our company's creative spirit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end hiring for studio roles (production, creative, admin, technical)
- Create job descriptions, post vacancies, and coordinate interviews
- Screen, shortlist, and evaluate candidates based on studio needs
- Work with department heads to identify hiring gaps
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Build strong employee relationships and handle concerns professionally
- Create and promote a supportive and creative work culture
- Plan team-building activities and employee engagement programs
3. HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
- Manage performance evaluation cycles and feedback processes
4. Payroll & Administration
- Coordinate monthly payroll with finance
- Process leave requests, attendance issues, and overtime approvals
- Maintain HRIS or internal HR tools
5. Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and arrange training or workshops
- Assist in onboarding new employees and ensuring smooth integration
6. Studio-Specific Responsibilities
- Understand hiring needs specific to media, production, and creative roles
- Coordinate with production teams for project-based hiring and contract staff
- Maintain freelancer and vendor HR documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Executive (studio, media, film, or creative industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and recruitment processes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a dynamic creative environment
- Experience with HR software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management, or a related field
