A Senior Interior Designer cum Sales professional is a hybrid role that bridges high-end creative design with business development and revenue generation. This professional is responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from converting a lead through a design presentation to overseeing final site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Sales Conversion: Identify potential clients, manage inbound leads, and conduct initial consultations to understand their needs. Drive the full sales cycle, including proposals, negotiations, and closing deals to meet revenue targets.
- Design Development & Presentation: Lead the conceptualization of interior projects, creating detailed layouts, mood boards, and 3D visualisations (using tools like AutoCAD and SketchUp). Present these concepts persuasively to secure client approval.
- Project & Budget Management: Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and quotations. Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure completion within allocated resources.
- Site Execution & Coordination: Oversee site implementation, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal production teams to maintain quality standards.
- Product Expertise: Guide clients on high-end materials, furniture, fittings, and luxury finishes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global design trends.
Typical Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Experience: Typically requires 1-2 years of experience in luxury residential or commercial interiors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or V-Ray.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills are critical for the sales component of the role.
