Role Overview
A Blockchain Red Team Engineer proactively attacks blockchain protocols, smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and infrastructure to identify exploitable weaknesses. The goal is to break systems ethically, expose security flaws, and help engineering teams harden defenses.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of blockchain architecture (Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, etc.)
- Deep expertise in smart contract security (Solidity, Rust, or similar)
- Experience in penetration testing or offensive cybersecurity
- Knowledge of:
o DeFi mechanics (AMMs, lending protocols, staking)
o MEV (Maximal Extractable Value)
o Cryptography fundamentals
- Ability to think like an attacker and chain exploit vectors
- Familiarity with Web3 security tools (Foundry, Hardhat, Slither, Echidna)
