About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bank Reconciliation Manager to oversee daily bank reconciliation activities, transaction matching, settlement tracking, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in the FinTech, Payments, Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services industry and possess strong analytical and accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts.
- Reconcile payment gateway transactions, settlements, merchant payments, and customer collections.
- Identify and resolve unreconciled transactions, discrepancies, and exceptions.
- Coordinate with banks, payment partners, finance teams, and operations teams for issue resolution.
- Monitor settlement reports and ensure timely accounting entries.
- Prepare reconciliation MIS reports and management dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Investigate transaction failures, chargebacks, refunds, and settlement mismatches.
- Maintain proper documentation and reconciliation records.
- Assist in process improvement and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CA Inter / MBA Finance / M.Com preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in Bank Reconciliation, Finance Operations, Accounts, or Payment Reconciliation.
- Experience in FinTech, Banking, Payment Gateway, NBFC, Wallet, or Financial Services industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Reconciliation Reports).
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Payment gateway and settlement reconciliation experience.
- Knowledge of UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, Nodal Accounts, and Escrow Accounts.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle large volumes of financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
