What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation bots using Python with Selenium/Playwright and the Robocorp platform (`rpaframework` libraries, RCC, `robot.yaml`/`conda.yaml` environment configuration)
- Build transactional automations using the producer–consumer pattern with Work Items for batch workloads such as claims and eligibility verification
- Deploy, schedule, and monitor unattended robots through Robocorp Control Room, managing run queues, assets, and environments
- Translate manual business workflows into reliable, documented automation — working with process owners to map current-state processes and identify automation opportunities
- Build resilient bots: robust error handling, retries, logging, alerting, and graceful failure for production environments where target applications change without notice
- Handle sensitive healthcare data responsibly, following HIPAA-aligned data privacy and security practices
- Document workflows, bot logic, and runbooks so others can support and extend your work
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in RPA or process automation development
- Strong Python programming skills (beyond scripting — clean, maintainable, testable code)
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright for browser automation
- Experience with Robocorp / Robot Framework — including `rpaframework` libraries and ideally Control Room — or demonstrable equivalent: production automation built in Python that you can walk us through
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and JSON for system integration
- Familiarity with SQL and basic database interactions
- Version control with Git
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills — comfort investigating why a bot broke and fixing it independently
- Security-conscious development habits: managing credentials and secrets through vaults or environment variables, never hardcoded
- Excellent verbal and written English communication; able to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders
- A genuine team player: collaborative, responsive, and reliable
Nice-to-Have (Strong Plus)
- Hands-on experience with Robocorp Control Room: unattended robot deployment, scheduling, run monitoring, and Work Item queues in production
- Desktop application automation — pywinauto, `rpaframework` desktop/Windows libraries, or image-based automation — since many healthcare PM/EHR systems run as Windows desktop apps or through Citrix/remote desktop rather than in the browser
- Experience in US healthcare — Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), medical billing, claims, eligibility, or prior authorization workflows
- Hands-on exposure to PM/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, AdvancedMD, NextGen, Kareo, or similar
- Awareness of HIPAA and PHI handling requirements
- OCR / document processing (Tesseract, AWS Textract, Google Vision, etc.)
- Cloud platforms (GCP), Docker, or CI/CD pipelines
