About the Role
XLNT Technology is looking for a highly motivated NPD Engineer to lead the development of new products from concept to production. The ideal candidate should possess strong product development skills along with hands-on knowledge of CNC machining, VMC programming, manufacturing processes, and prototype development. The role requires working closely with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to develop innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective products.
Key Responsibilities New Product Development
- Lead product development activities from concept generation to commercial production.
- Develop product concepts, technical specifications, CAD models, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
- Conduct design reviews, prototype evaluations, testing, and validation.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.
- Manage engineering changes and continuous product improvements.
CNC & Manufacturing Development
- Create and optimize CNC/VMC machining strategies for prototype and production components.
- Generate CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, Powermill, or equivalent.
- Select cutting tools, machining parameters, fixtures, and work-holding methods.
- Analyze machining cycle times and identify productivity improvements.
- Support machining trials, first-off inspections, and process validation.
- Work closely with machine operators and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Develop machining processes for precision components, molds, fixtures, tooling, and production parts.
Project Management
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Vendors to ensure timely project execution.
- Track development timelines, milestones, and product launch schedules.
- Prepare technical reports, validation documents, SOPs, and development records.
Innovation & Cost Optimization
- Identify opportunities for product innovation and process improvement.
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies, materials, and machining techniques.
- Reduce product cost through design optimization and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in Product Development, Design Engineering, CNC Manufacturing, or NPD.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of CNC Turning, CNC Milling, VMC Programming, Tooling, Fixtures, and CAM Software.
- Understanding of GD&T, machining tolerances, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with prototype development and production support.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
