About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and customer-focused Career Counsellor to guide
aspiring professionals in making informed career decisions while helping them secure opportunities
with leading organizations, including Big Four firms and reputed multinational companies (MNCs).
The ideal candidate should possess excellent counselling and consultative selling skills, with the
ability to understand candidates' career aspirations, recommend suitable programs or services, and
convert enquiries into successful enrolments. This role requires a strong sales mindset, target
orientation, and the ability to build long-term relationships with candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Career Counselling & Candidate Engagement
- Counsel prospective candidates through telephonic, virtual, and face-to-face interactions.
- Understand candidates' educational background, work experience, career aspirations, and
skill gaps.
- Recommend suitable career development programs, certification courses, placement
assistance, or training solutions based on individual career goals.
- Build trust with candidates by providing accurate career guidance and industry insights.
- Maintain continuous follow-ups until successful enrolment or placement.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Convert assigned leads into successful admissions or program enrolments.
- Achieve individual monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Execute consultative selling by identifying candidate needs and presenting appropriate
solutions.
- Handle objections professionally and negotiate to maximize conversions.
- Generate revenue through cross-selling and upselling relevant programs whenever
applicable.
- Maintain a healthy conversion ratio from enquiries to admissions.
Lead Management
- Manage inbound and outbound leads efficiently.
- Maintain regular follow-ups using CRM tools.
- Update lead status, communication history, and sales progress accurately.
- Ensure timely response to all candidate enquiries.
Relationship Management
- Develop long-term relationships with candidates.
- Provide pre-sales and post-enrolment support.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Address candidate concerns professionally and maintains high customer satisfaction.
Market Awareness
- Stay updated with current hiring trends across Big Four firms, MNCs, IT companies,
consulting firms, finance organizations, and other leading employers.
- Understand industry requirements, emerging career opportunities, and in-demand skills.
- Keep knowledge updated regarding certifications, training programs, and placement
opportunities.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate counselling records and sales reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Track conversion rates, revenue generation, and pipeline status.
- Ensure complete documentation for every enrolled candidate.

Required Skills

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Mandatory).
- MBA, PGDM, or relevant certifications in Sales, Marketing, HR, or Counselling will be an
added advantage.
Experience Required
- 2–7 years of experience in Career Counselling, Admission Counselling, Education Sales,
Recruitment Consulting, Training Sales, EdTech, BFSI, Healthcare, Real Estate, Immigration, or
other consultative sales industries.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in handling inbound and outbound sales enquiries.
- Prior experience in counselling candidates for career development or professional programs
will be preferred.
