Job Summary
A Ward Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to admitted patients, monitors their condition, administers medications, and supports recovery. They work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ health conditions.
- Record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist doctors during examinations and medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide wound care, injections, IV therapy, and catheter care.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and aftercare.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety standards.
- Supervise and guide junior nursing staff or nursing assistants.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Valid nursing license/registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
- Previous ward or hospital experience (1–2 years preferred).
