Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Application Packaging Engineer with hands-on experience in InstallShield, Windows Installer Technologies, and PowerShell Scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise software installation packages while supporting automated deployment and release processes.
This role requires strong expertise in MSI packaging, installer customization, deployment automation, and installation troubleshooting in Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities Application Packaging & Installer Development
- Design, develop, and maintain application installation packages using InstallShield.
- Create and manage MSI, MST, and MSP packages for enterprise deployments.
- Implement installation, upgrade, rollback, patching, and uninstallation strategies.
- Develop reusable installer templates and packaging standards.
- Ensure software packages comply with organizational deployment requirements.
PowerShell Automation
- Develop advanced PowerShell scripts for software deployment and installation automation.
- Automate package creation, validation, testing, and release processes.
- Build deployment utilities and troubleshooting scripts.
- Support unattended and silent installation deployments.
Windows Installer Engineering
- Work extensively with Windows Installer (MSI) architecture.
- Create and manage Transforms (MST) and Patches (MSP).
- Handle installer sequencing, components, features, custom actions, and dependencies.
- Perform installer validation using ICE validation tools.
- Optimize installation performance and reliability.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Investigate and resolve installation and deployment issues.
- Analyze installation logs, Windows Event Logs, and registry entries.
- Perform root cause analysis for packaging and deployment failures.
- Develop troubleshooting documentation and deployment guides.
CI/CD & Release Management
- Integrate application packaging workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate build and release processes.
- Manage software versioning and deployment artifacts.
- Ensure package quality and release readiness before production deployment.

Pay: Up to ₹1,017,838.16 per year
