Overview The Design Lead – HVAC will be responsible for leading HVAC design management, coordinaƟon, and site integraƟon for a large-scale mixed-use development. The role ensures all HVAC systems are efficient, compliant, coordinated, and aligned with execuƟon schedules. Key ResponsibiliƟes 1. Design Management & Review Lead review and validaƟon of HVAC system designs including: o Chilled Water System (Air-cooled / Water-cooled) o VRV/VRF Systems o VenƟlaƟon & Exhaust Systems (car park, kitchen, toilet, basement) o PressurizaƟon Systems (staircase, liŌ lobby) o Smoke management systems Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NBC, ECBC, and local authority norms Validate load calculaƟons, equipment sizing, and system selecƟon 2. Site CoordinaƟon & ExecuƟon Support Provide technical guidance to execuƟon teams during installaƟon Resolve design conflicts and site issues in real-Ɵme Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submiƩals Ensure alignment between design intent and actual installaƟon 3. BIM & MulƟdisciplinary CoordinaƟon (Only Technical Design Guidance) Lead HVAC coordinaƟon in BIM environment (LOD 300–400) Ensure clash-free rouƟng with structural, architectural, and other MEP services Review coordinated models and drawings before construcƟon 4. Energy Efficiency & OpƟmizaƟon Ensure HVAC systems meet energy efficiency standards (ECBC compliance) OpƟmize system design for performance, cost, and sustainability Evaluate value engineering proposals 5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Coordinate with OEMs for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, etc. Support procurement with technical evaluaƟons and approvals Interface with consultants, PMC, client, and internal teams Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and codes (ASHRAE, ECBC, NBC) ExperƟse in cooling load calculaƟons (HAP/Trace or similar tools) Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Navisworks Strong coordinaƟon, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Site-oriented approach with execuƟon understanding EducaƟonal QualificaƟon B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Relevant HVAC design cerƟficaƟons (preferred) Preferred Experience Experience in mega mixed-use developments, malls, hotels, high-rise commercial projects Prior experience working with contractors at site office Exposure to data centers or large infrastructure projects is an advantage ReporƟng To Project Director / MEP Head Key Deliverables Approved coordinated HVAC design Timely resoluƟon of site design issues Compliance with codes and client requirements Successful handover
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
