We are looking for a Formulation & Development professional to join our Nutraceutical Manufacturing Plant at Palghar. The candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, scaling up, and transferring nutraceutical formulations from laboratory trials to commercial manufacturing.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in nutraceutical / pharmaceutical formulation development, with good knowledge of vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, probiotics, enzymes, excipients, tablets, capsules, powders, and sachets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize new nutraceutical formulations based on product requirements.
- Develop formulations for tablets, capsules, powder blends, sachets/stick packs and other nutraceutical dosage forms.
- Select suitable active ingredients, excipients, binders, lubricants, flavours, colours, sweeteners and other formulation components.
- Perform formulation calculations including assay correction, potency, elemental values, overages and batch-size calculations.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale formulation trials.
- Coordinate and monitor scale-up and commercial batch trials at the manufacturing plant.
- Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues such as poor flow, segregation, sticking, capping, weight variation, blending issues and low yield.
- Prepare and maintain formulation sheets, BOMs, trial reports, product development reports, specifications and technology transfer documents.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, QA, Regulatory and Purchase departments for product development activities.
- Support stability studies and review stability data.
- Support preparation of technical documents and dossiers for FSSAI and export/customer requirements.
- Evaluate new raw materials, alternate suppliers and excipients from a technical and formulation perspective.
- Assist in formulation cost optimization without compromising product quality.
- Participate in investigation of formulation-related deviations, complaints and CAPA.
- Provide technical support during commercial manufacturing and technology transfer.
- Keep updated with new ingredients, technologies and market trends in the nutraceutical industry.
Required Qualification
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. / B.Sc. / M.Tech / B.Tech in Pharmacy, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutraceuticals or related field.
- Relevant experience in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical formulation development will be preferred.
Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience in Nutraceutical / Pharmaceutical / Food Supplement formulation and development.
Candidates with hands-on experience in commercial-scale nutraceutical manufacturing and formulation troubleshooting will be preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
