T he Digital Product Owner owns delivery of digital storefront initiatives by defining, prioritizing, and validating work for the squad. Translates business needs into clear, actionable requirements while maintaining ownership of the team backlog and delivery outcomes. Collaborates with engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution. Brings strong ecommerce domain knowledge to guide decisions across composable storefront experiences built with React, Salesforce PWA Kit, Amplience CMS, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Scope of delivery and sphere of influence is within a single squad responsible for end-to-end delivery of emerging brand and regional sites.
- Communicates status in daily meetings. Fosters constructive, collaborative, and effective communication with others, both internally and externally. Actively participates in planning, refinement, and retrospective reviews. Explains and simplifies complex information to stakeholders and team members.
- Owns and manages the team backlog. Prioritizes work based on business value, technical dependencies, and delivery goals. Ensures backlog is well-defined, groomed, and ready for sprint execution.
- Works with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into clear user stories with defined acceptance criteria. Ensures requirements are actionable, testable, and aligned with business objectives .
- Drives alignment between business intent and technical implementation. Collaborates with engineering, design, and QA throughout the development lifecycle to clarify requirements and remove ambiguity.
- Defines user journeys, workflows, and functional requirements for ecommerce storefront features. Ensures traceability between requirements, implementation, and validation.
- Leads sprint planning and backlog refinement. Ensures stories are properly scoped, prioritized, and aligned with delivery timelines.
- Validates completed work against requirements and acceptance criteria. Participates in demos and release readiness activities to ensure quality and completeness of delivered features.
- Applies ecommerce domain knowledge to guide prioritization and decision-making. Understands key storefront flows including product discovery, PDP, cart, checkout, and order lifecycle.
- Identifies risks, dependencies, and gaps in requirements. Proactively works with teams to mitigate issues and maintain delivery momentum.
- Creates and maintains documentation for features, workflows, and business logic. Helps standardize requirement-writing and backlog management practices across the team.
- Identifies opportunities to improve delivery processes, requirement clarity, and cross-team communication.
