Join our Windows & macOS Systems Engineering team within the Fleet Operation Engineering Group - the people responsible for keeping the systems and storage infrastructure that power Apple's services running and secure at extraordinary scale.
This role sits at the heart of large-scale Windows operations. You'll own the configuration, provisioning, and health of Windows environments - designing automation tools that reduce toil, maintaining Windows infrastructure at large scale, and partnering closely with developers, DBAs, network engineers, information security, and EPMs to build the environments that make Apple's products possible.

Support a dynamic, distributed Hyper-V environment
Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for Configuration Management
Windows patch management using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
Develop and maintain automation and monitoring tools to improve reliability and stability
Administer and troubleshoot complex Windows environments
Use all available tools to determine root cause analysis when issues arise
Collaborate regularly with Application teams, DBAs, network engineers, and EPMs to build new environments and support new product initiatives
Work with storage engineers to utilize different types of SAN devices
Participate in the feedback cycle for tools, issues, and projects to make each better
Perform on-call duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with configuration management tools such as MECM
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment with a sense of shared ownership
Ability to troubleshoot server hardware and Windows Server utilizing log files or other tools
Knowledge or experience securing Windows, Active Directory, or Configuration Manager environments
Knowledge or experience with Go or Python
macOS experience in a data center environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
Minimum Qualifications
0-18 months of experience administering windows & macOS operating systems
Knowledge of with Windows fundamentals
Knowledge of Active Directory User and Device management
Knowledge of PowerShell commands and scripting
Knowledge of networking fundamentals
Knowledge or experience working with ticketing systems
Knowledge of local and network firewalls
