Role Overview
The Quantity Survey Engineer will be responsible for preparing quantity estimates, project costing, vendor billing verification, client billing, contract administration, and monitoring project costs to ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuantity Estimation & Costing
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Develop detailed cost estimates and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Analyze project drawings and identify quantity variations.
- Prepare material requirement schedules and cost comparisons.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting project costs.
Billing & Measurement
- Prepare client RA (Running Account) bills and final bills.
- Verify subcontractor and vendor bills based on site measurements.
- Conduct joint measurements with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain records of executed quantities and work progress.
Contract Management
- Review tender documents, contracts, and technical specifications.
- Monitor contract compliance and identify deviations.
- Prepare variation orders, claims, and extra item analyses.
- Support procurement and commercial teams during contract negotiations.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Track project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Assist management in financial planning and project profitability analysis.
Coordination
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and contractors.
- Ensure timely submission of bills, measurements, and project reports.
- Support project planning and execution teams with quantity-related inputs.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and cost estimation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and reading construction drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and rate analysis.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and billing procedures.
- Good understanding of IS Codes and construction standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and project reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Preferred Software Knowledge
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
