Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and patient Art Teacher to design and conduct engaging art sessions for children with special needs. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt activities according to each child's abilities while creating a safe, fun, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging art sessions for children of different age groups and abilities.
- Teach drawing, painting, sketching, colouring, craft, clay modelling, collage, mixed media, and other creative activities.
- Adapt art lessons to suit children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, and Learning Disabilities.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, fine motor development, sensory exploration, and confidence through art.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and special educators to support each child's developmental goals.
- Prepare lesson plans and maintain records of students' progress.
- Organize art exhibitions, seasonal displays, workshops, and creative events.
- Maintain art materials, classroom equipment, and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Applied Arts, or a related field.
- Diploma or certification in Art Education is preferred.
- Certification or experience in Special Education is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as an Art Teacher is preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.
- Freshers with excellent artistic skills, patience, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
