We’re looking for a Database Administrator who operates as an Application DBA, supporting SQL Server databases in an Azure environment. This role sits in the middle of development and production. You won’t just maintain databases. You’ll focus on how applications use them, where they struggle, and how to make them run better.
A big part of the job is working with systems that already exist. Some are stable but need tuning. Others have performance issues that need to be tracked down and fixed. You’ll be expected to step into those situations, understand what’s happening, and improve things without needing a full redesign. If you like figuring out why something is slow, unstable, or breaking under load, this role leans heavily into that kind of work.
You’ll report to the Manager, Software Engineering and work across multiple teams and applications. The DBA role here is embedded, not isolated.
You’ll spend time with developers reviewing queries and releases, and with operations when something in production needs attention. The expectation is that you can move between those groups and connect what’s happening in the application to what’s happening in the database.
Our teams are agile and focused on delivering high-quality software. The work spans multiple concurrent efforts, so being able to stay organized and shift context matters. Our business model is hybrid, working from our Bangalore, India campus.
