Analytics Engineer – DBT | Snowflake | SQL
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, Snowflake, and SQL to build scalable data models, optimize data warehouse performance, and ensure high-quality data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data models using DBT.
- Develop modular SQL models using Jinja templating, DBT testing, and best practices.
- Work extensively with Snowflake for data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data optimization.
- Experience with Star/Snowflake schemas and Data Vault modeling.
- Perform query tuning and Snowflake performance optimization.
- Work with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms for real-time data ingestion.
- Design and manage ETL/ELT workflows using SnapLogic.
- Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Implement CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions or similar tools for DBT testing and deployment.
- Establish data validation, quality checks, testing, and lineage tracking.
- Maintain technical documentation using DBT Docs or similar tools.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Troubleshoot data issues and proactively identify gaps in data pipelines and models.

Candidate Requirements
- 5–8 years of total IT experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in DBT, Snowflake, and SQL.
- Good understanding of data modeling, data quality, testing, and data governance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Current location must be Mumbai.
- Candidate should be available to work from the client office in Mumbai for 1 week every month.
