Job Summary
The Behavioral Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring evidence-based behavioral intervention programs for children with developmental, behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties. The therapist works collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members and caregivers to improve the child's functional, social, communication, adaptive, and behavioral skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Intervention
- Conduct behavioral assessments and identify target behaviors.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIP).
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy programs.
- Monitor behavioral progress and modify intervention strategies as required.
- Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
- Support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and other developmental conditions.
Child Development Support
- Promote social, emotional, communication, and adaptive living skills.
- Improve attention span, task completion, self-regulation, and functional independence.
- Address challenging behaviors using positive behavior support strategies.
- Facilitate skill acquisition through structured teaching methods.
Family and Caregiver Training
- Educate parents and caregivers on behavior management techniques.
- Conduct parent counseling and home program training sessions.
- Provide guidance on implementing therapeutic strategies at home and school.
