Requirements
- Strong understanding of building sitemaps to navigate websites and extract data efficiently.
- Ability to use different types of selectors to extract various forms of data, including text, tables, images, links, and other web elements.
- Good knowledge of web scraping techniques and data extraction methods.
- Hands-on experience with web scraping and LinkedIn data extraction tools such as ParseHub, Octoparse, Phantombuster, and similar platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the team to collect real-time data and design complex scraping workflows to extract information from multiple sources.
- Independently research new data sources and document scraping methods, infrastructure requirements, scaling approaches, and monitoring strategies.
- Acquire, clean, standardize, transform, structure, and store data from various sources.
- Develop modules to extract data from documents and identify entities, patterns, and relationships.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to discover potential insights from datasets.
- Support team members in optimizing data models and analytics processes.
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple databases and applications.
- Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate data status, changes, and analysis.
- Extract, clean, and organize data from unstructured or semi-structured sources such as PDFs, text files, and log files.
- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency and the ability to solve complex data extraction challenges.
