Embedded Systems
Senior Hardware Design Engineer responsible for end-to-end design and development of embedded hardware systems. Handles schematic design, PCB development, component selection, and validation of IoT/embedded products. Ensures robust, reliable, and production-ready hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware systems from concept to production
- Create and review schematics and PCB layouts
- Select appropriate components based on cost, performance, and availability
- Work on microcontroller, power supply, and communication interface design
- Perform hardware testing, validation, and debugging
- Ensure compliance with design standards and industry best practices
- Collaborate with firmware team for hardware-software integration
- Analyze and resolve hardware issues during development and production
- Conduct design reviews and suggest improvements
- Support prototyping, bring-up, and field testing of devices
- Prepare technical documentation, BOM (Bill of Materials), and design files
- Coordinate with vendors for PCB fabrication and component sourcing
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of embedded hardware design and circuit fundamentals
- Experience in schematic design and PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, etc.)
- Expertise in microcontrollers, analog and digital circuit design
- Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.)
- Understanding of power electronics and battery-operated systems
- Hands-on debugging using tools like oscilloscope, logic analyzer
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations and design practices
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and design optimization skills
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Embedded Systems
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and development
- Experience in IoT product design preferred
