- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and bakery products.
- Design and develop new dessert menus and seasonal specialties.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion control of all pastry items.
- Prepare fondant cakes, celebration cakes, buffet desserts, and specialty bakery products as required.
- Monitor inventory of bakery and pastry ingredients and place requisitions when needed.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the pastry kitchen.
- Control food costs, minimize wastage, and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Supervise, train, and guide pastry cooks, bakers, and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure all equipment in the pastry section is properly maintained and used safely.
- Coordinate with banquet, restaurant, and room service teams for dessert requirements.
- Follow hotel recipes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
- Manage production planning for events, weddings, conferences, and festive promotions.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of all pastry and bakery items.
