Job Summary
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising mechanical maintenance activities in the pallet plant to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations. The role includes maintenance of conveyors, hydraulic systems, cutting machines, compressors, kiln systems, pallet assembly equipment, and other plant machinery while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities in the pallet plant.
- Ensure smooth operation of pallet production machinery and equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor machine performance and minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate with production team for maintenance scheduling.
- Supervise fitters, technicians, welders, and maintenance staff.
- Inspect conveyors, motors, pumps, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical spares.
- Prepare maintenance reports, checklists, and equipment history records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE usage, and company SOPs.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and provide quick troubleshooting support.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in maintenance areas.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of conveyors, hydraulic systems, compressors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Good leadership and manpower handling skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintenance records and reports.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and safety procedures.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience in pallet plant, wood industry, manufacturing plant, or heavy industry maintenance.
- Experience in supervising maintenance teams preferred
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
