About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Odoo Developer to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, integrating, and maintaining Odoo applications based on client and internal business requirements.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Python, Odoo framework, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, and Odoo module development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Odoo modules based on functional requirements.
- Create new Odoo modules, models, views, workflows, reports, and business logic.
- Customize existing Odoo modules such as Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, POS, Website, and eCommerce.
- Develop REST/API integrations with third-party applications and services.
- Work closely with Odoo Functional Consultants to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve Odoo functional and technical issues.
- Optimize existing Odoo modules and improve system performance.
- Develop automated workflows and business processes.
- Work on data migration and import/export processes.
- Develop custom reports and dashboards.
- Perform unit testing and support functional testing/UAT.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in deployment, server configuration, and production support when required.
- Stay updated with new Odoo versions and development best practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Python.
- Good understanding of the Odoo framework and ORM.
- Experience developing custom Odoo modules.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of XML and QWeb.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript.
- Experience with Odoo Views, Models, Security Rules, Access Rights, Wizards, Scheduled Actions, and Automated Actions.
- Understanding of Odoo API and external integrations.
- Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version-control systems.
- Basic Linux/server knowledge.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Odoo 16, 17, 18, or 19.
- Odoo Community development experience.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Experience with payment gateway, WhatsApp, eCommerce, or mobile-app integrations.
- Experience with Docker, VPS, AWS, or Digital Ocean is an advantage.
- Knowledge of OWL and modern Odoo frontend development.
- Experience with SaaS or multi-company/multi-tenant Odoo environments.
- Experience working with WooCommerce or other eCommerce platforms is an advantage.
