To support our continued growth in the Indian market, we are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Sales Manager to drive business development and sales activities across municipal and industrial water treatment sectors.
Your Responsibilities
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the successful adoption of Cerafiltec membrane technologies throughout India.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities within municipal and industrial water and wastewater markets across India.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, engineering firms, EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, and channel partners.
- Act as a technical and commercial advisor to customers by supporting solution development, technical discussions, pilot testing, and proposal preparation throughout the sales process.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and site visits to promote Cerafiltec’s ceramic membrane technologies and application solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Project teams to ensure effective communication, successful project handover, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market developments, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and support regional growth strategies.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, sales forecasts, and reporting in accordance with corporate guidelines and commercial processes.
- Represent Cerafiltec professionally at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and customer engagements.
Your ProfileEducation & Background
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Technology, Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
- Strong technical and/or commercial background within the water and wastewater industry.
Experience
- Several years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management within the water and wastewater industry.
- Proven track record of developing business and managing customer relationships in municipal and/or industrial water treatment markets.
- Experience with membrane filtration, process equipment, or other advanced water treatment technologies is highly desirable.
- Experience working with consultants, EPC contractors, utilities, industrial end users, and OEMs is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Sound understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and applications.
- Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent English language skills; additional regional Indian languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within India.
