Key Responsibilities :
Database Development & Design :
- Design, develop, and maintain complex database solutions using PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers (PL/pgSQL, PL/SQL).
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic with business applications.
Performance Optimization :
- Conduct database tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization to ensure high performance.
- Implement replication and high- availability (HA) setups for mission- critical systems.
- Monitor database health and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
Data Management & Migration :
- Handle large- scale data migration across heterogeneous database platforms.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security during migration and transformation.
- Work with JSON/CSV data formats for reporting and analytics.
Automation & Scripting :
- Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for routine database tasks and monitoring.
- Use Python scripting to automate repetitive processes, reporting, and validation.
- Build utilities for backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
Collaboration & Documentation :
- Partner with cross- functional teams (developers, QA, DevOps) to deliver robust solutions.
- Document database designs, processes, and best practices.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in real time.
Required Skills :
- Strong hands- on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL, and PL/SQL
- Expertise in database tuning, indexing, partitioning, replication, and HA setups
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Experience with data migration across platforms
- Familiarity with JSON/CSV data handling and reporting
- Python scripting for automation
