Position: Service Engineer
The Service Engineer will ensure reliable operation, installation, and maintenance of pharmaceutical testing instruments. This role is critical for customer satisfaction, compliance, and long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, calibrate and validate instruments at pharma manufacturing sites.
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site.
· Train customer staff on equipment usage, SOPs, and compliance standards.
· Document service activities, calibration certificates, and validation reports.
· Support audits (FDA, GMP, ICH) by ensuring equipment compliance.
Provide remote technical support and escalate complex issues to R&D.
Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with team.
Preferred Skills:
· Strong knowledge of installation, calibration, and validation of pharma instruments.
· Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or software issues.
· Skilled in scheduling and performing routine checks to ensure equipment uptime.
· Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and ICH standards for pharma equipment.
· Capability to train client staff on proper equipment usage and SOPs.
· Accurate reporting of service activities, calibration certificates, and validation records.
Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation).
Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome.
Candidates with prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be given preference.
Knowledge of pharma compliance standards (GMP, FDA, ICH).
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Passion for travel and field sales.
