Role - Senior Systems Engineer (Linux)/ Lead Linux Administrator
Echo System : Manage, maintain, and support a multi-node, large-scale enterprise Linux server footprint across on-premises data centers, private cloud (VMware/KVM), and public cloud environments.
Experience Level: 8 - 12 years
Skills :
Hands-on experience administering and engineering enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, SUSE, or Ubuntu) at scale (1,000+ nodes).
Scripting & Automation: Advanced proficiency in Bash and Python for systems automation.
Storage & Virtualization Expertise: Linux LVM, multipathing, SAN/NAS connectivity, and enterprise hypervisors (VMware vSphere, KVM, Nutanix AHV)
Networking Mastery: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH security, network bonding, subnets, packet analysis, firewall administration.
Cluster & High Availability: Hands-on experience building and supporting enterprise High-Availability clusters.
Centralized Management & Monitoring: Hands-on experience with platform management tools.
Hardware Operations: Experience with enterprise server hardware platforms and firmware management.
Application & OS Troubleshooting: Expert skills in troubleshooting, co-relating errors and collaborate with cross stakeholders; Ability to analyze kernel crash dumps; Familiarity with Linux OS optimization for large Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, SAP, or web tier deployments.
Good to have : Certifications: Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
