We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our organization in a finance and advisory role.
This is not intended to be a conventional accounting position focused only on maintaining books, preparing returns, or completing routine compliance work. We are looking for someone who understands the technical side of accounting, taxation and corporate compliance, but can also look at the larger commercial picture, think independently and approach problems with an open mind.
The person should be comfortable working across accounting, taxation, financial structuring, regulatory matters and various business projects as the organization grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
- Handle and review matters relating to Income Tax, GST, TDS and other applicable taxation requirements.
- Assist with corporate and regulatory compliance and coordinate with CS, legal counsel, auditors, banks and government authorities where required.
- Review financial statements, reconciliations, tax positions and supporting documentation.
- Advise management on the financial and tax implications of business decisions.
- Assist with financial structuring, new business initiatives and special projects.
- Develop appropriate accounting, compliance and internal-control processes.
- Research unfamiliar financial, regulatory or commercial matters and develop practical solutions.
- Work directly with management on matters extending beyond conventional accounting assignments.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- ICAI membership required.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting, taxation, GST and corporate compliance.
- Sound working knowledge of financial statements and accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to independently research and understand new or unusual matters.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of professional integrity and confidentiality.
What We Are Looking For
Technical qualification is important, but mindset is equally important.
We are particularly interested in someone who:
- Thinks beyond the immediate accounting entry or compliance requirement.
- Wants to understand why a transaction or business decision is being undertaken.
- Can connect financial, tax, legal and commercial considerations.
- Is comfortable questioning assumptions and suggesting alternatives.
- Can operate in situations where there may not be a ready-made textbook answer.
- Is curious about new industries, business models and regulatory environments.
- Takes ownership rather than waiting for narrowly defined instructions.
- Can communicate complex financial matters to people who are not accountants.
Candidates whose experience has primarily been in traditional CA practice are welcome, provided they are interested in taking on a broader commercial and entrepreneurial role.
Experience: Open to both promising early-career Chartered Accountants and experienced candidates. Quality of thinking, technical foundation and attitude will be given significant weight.
Benefits:
