Experience
20–25 Years of relevant experience in manufacturing, agro-processing, edible oil, solvent extraction, poultry feed, fish feed, food processing, or FMCG industries, including 8–10 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- MBA (Operations) or M.E./M.Tech is preferred.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, ISO Management Systems, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
Salary: Best in the Industry, based on qualifications, experience, and current compensation.

We are seeking an accomplished Plant Head to lead our manufacturing operations, drive operational excellence, ensure safety and quality compliance, and deliver sustainable business growth.
Job Summary
The Plant Head will be responsible for the overall management of plant operations, including Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Utilities, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Dispatch, Safety, Administration, and Continuous Improvement. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams to maximize productivity, optimize costs, maintain world-class quality standards, and ensure statutory compliance while achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations
- Lead and oversee all plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production.
- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, utilities, and raw materials.
- Develop and implement annual operating plans aligned with business goals.
Production Management
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production performance.
- Improve plant productivity, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Reduce production losses and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure timely execution of production schedules.
Engineering & Maintenance
- Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Utility functions.
- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are effectively implemented.
- Improve equipment reliability and plant availability.
- Lead plant shutdown planning and execution.
Quality & Food Safety
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and food safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to maintain consistent product quality.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions for quality improvements.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Pollution Control Board norms, and other statutory regulations.
- Lead safety audits, emergency preparedness, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain a zero-accident workplace through proactive safety management.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Prepare and manage annual plant budgets.
- Optimize manufacturing costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives in energy, maintenance, and operations.
- Monitor plant performance against financial and operational KPIs.
Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Warehouse, Logistics, and Commercial teams.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and timely dispatch of finished goods.
- Optimize inventory levels and warehouse operations.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead and mentor department heads and cross-functional teams.
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and accountability.
- Support succession planning and leadership development.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and process optimization.
- Lead capital projects, expansion initiatives, and commissioning of new equipment.
