About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (BA/QA) Trainee to join our software development team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are interested in understanding business requirements, preparing documentation, testing software applications, and ensuring product quality. The selected candidate will receive training and work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Understand client requirements with guidance from senior team members.
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and user stories.
- Create process flow diagrams and functional documentation.
- Participate in client discussions and internal project meetings.
- Coordinate with development and testing teams to clarify requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Understand software requirements and functional specifications.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and report software defects.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Ensure software meets business requirements before release.
Required Skills
- Good analytical and logical thinking skills.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Basic knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good documentation and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good teamwork and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Basic understanding of SQL.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
- Knowledge of API testing concepts is an added advantage.
