We are looking for a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to manage and supervise civil construction activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works are executed safely, efficiently, within the approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget, and project schedule.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.
- Execute civil works as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other project teams.
- Review and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and related construction drawings.
- Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of activities as per project schedule.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain proper site records.
- Ensure proper execution of foundations, RCC works, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and other civil works.
- Check and verify measurements of completed works for billing purposes.
- Prepare and verify quantity requirements, material requests, and site material consumption.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely availability of required materials.
- Supervise and monitor subcontractor activities and manpower deployment.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved method statements and quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure rectification of defects and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with the MEP team to ensure proper integration of civil and MEP works.
- Identify site issues, prepare technical solutions, and coordinate with the concerned teams for timely resolution.
- Monitor wastage of materials and ensure effective utilization of resources.
- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and company HSE policies.
- Maintain site documentation, inspection records, checklists, measurements, and work completion records.
- Assist in preparing RA bills, subcontractor bills, quantity calculations, and variation statements.
- Coordinate testing, inspections, snag rectification, and final handover of civil works.
- Ensure completion of work and obtain necessary work completion/handover certificates from the client.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical updates on progress, issues, and requirements.
- Support project estimation, costing, and quantity take-off whenever required.
- Perform any other duties related to civil engineering and project execution as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of civil construction and site execution.
- Good understanding of RCC, structural, masonry, finishing, waterproofing, and related civil works.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of BOQ, quantity estimation, measurement, and billing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of project planning and progress monitoring.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site manpower.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards applicable to construction projects.
Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Relevant experience in civil construction/EPC/project execution will be preferred.
Experience
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or MEP/EPC projects will be an added advantage.
