Job Summary
The X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment. The technician must ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and proper equipment handling while assisting doctors in diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients and staff.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment properly.
- Assist doctors in interpreting images when required.
- Maintain patient records and imaging reports accurately.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the radiology room.
- Coordinate with front office and other departments for patient flow.
- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology.
- Valid certification or license (if applicable).
Skills Required
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques.
- Understanding of radiation protection and safety.
- Good communication and patient handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
