Functional Responsibilities
· Operations Management
1) You shall report to the Medical Director.
· Strategic Leadership
1) Develop and execute a strategic plan for laboratory services that aligns with the hospital’s overall objectives.
2) Identify emerging trends and technologies in diagnostic services and implement innovative solutions.
3) Establish goals and benchmarks for laboratory performance and quality improvement.
· Operational Oversight
1) Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to turnaround times, and optimization of resources.
2) Maintain laboratory readiness for internal and external audits, including NABH, NABL, or other relevant accreditations.
3) Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure uniformity and quality in laboratory practices.
· Quality Assurance and Compliance
1) Ensure that all laboratory activities comply with local, national, and international regulatory standards.
2) Monitor quality control programs and implement corrective actions as necessary.
3) Oversee the reporting, documentation, and resolution of discrepancies or adverse events in laboratory services.
· Human Resource Management
1) Lead and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
2) Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development of the laboratory team.
3) Recruit and retain skilled personnel, ensuring adequate staffing levels across all shifts.
· Budget and Resource Management
1) Prepare and manage the laboratory budget, optimizing cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
2) Oversee procurement and maintenance of laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies.
3) Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers for laboratory needs.
· Collaboration and Communication
1) Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and hospital administrators to address diagnostic needs and challenges.
2) Serve as the primary liaison between the laboratory and other hospital departments.
3) Participate in hospital committees related to clinical operations, quality improvement, and patient safety.
· Research and Development
1) Promote and support research initiatives, including the validation of new diagnostic methods and technologies.
2) Encourage publication and dissemination of laboratory findings in scientific journals or conferences.
3) Build partnerships with academic and research institutions for collaborative projects.
· Patient-Centered Focus
1) Ensure that laboratory services contribute to positive patient outcomes through accurate and timely diagnostics.
2) Address patient and clinician concerns related to laboratory reports or processes.
Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
